John Muir Health Family Practice
This project centered around the combination of multiple practices, coming together to serve a need for a new family health practice in the surrounding community.
The RBA team worked closely with John Muir Health’s physicians and facilities group to come up with a layout that provided an efficient flow for this practice, including height adjustability at all MA stations, and resulting in better functionality for both patients and staff.
We opened up the reception area to streamline the check-in process, and transformed the room by changing the orientation and adding an expansive glass slider, allowing natural light to filter into the space and creating views to the outside, which is vital in a healthcare environment. We incorporated a soothing, calming, and cheerful palette suitable for patients of all ages visiting this family practice. This was a phased project, which allowed the practice to remain open and continue seeing patients throughout the construction process, due to detailed planning and coordination.
